Having had my own horses from an early age I decided to pursue my interest in horses as a career, I went on to further education to study Equine Management at Hartpury College where I also achieved the BHS A.I. After college I worked in the industry in many different yards from teaching positions to a veterinary assistant, a few years later I then returned to higher education and obtained a Batchelor of Science Degree in Equine Science.

Having had experience of the equine industry and an interest in complimentary therapies I felt I was being drawn to work with horses in a therapeutic manner. EMRT seemed to be the most beneficial to the equine as it treated the ‘whole’ horse, In 2005 I qualified as a Bowen Therapist (to treat people) having experienced the great relief this therapy had brought me. In 2008 I completed the comprehensive 2 year EMRT practitioner course, and am now a fully registered EMRT (equine muscle release therapy) practitioner.

All practitioners work to a strict professional code of conduct and work with veterinary consent or referral.

All EMRT Practitioner’s are fully registered and insured, and must complete professional development training every year. This ensures our skills are kept finely tuned and true to the therapy.
